The Doula - Old Knowledge Renewed
A little girl stands clutching her daddy's hand as they stare through the glass window of the hospital door. On the other side of the glass is mommy holding a bundle. Daddy tells the little girl that mommy has had a new baby. The little girl, four years old was, of course, myself. When I was older, Mother told me the story of the birth, one of fear and confusion, unlike my own birth, during which she had described being well cared for. With this backgound is it any wonder that my own journey has brought me to helping women achieve the happiest memories possible for their births?
